Research for my ancillary tasks

Image
Ancillary Tasks Research The ancillary task is to produce two out of the following three: - a radio trailer for the documentary - a double page spread from a TV listings magazine focused on the documentary - a newspaper advertisement for the documentary I have chosen to produce a newspaper advertisement and a double-page spread from a TV listings magazine to advertise my documentary. Before I start creating my adverts, I must do some research into existing adverts that are similar to the ones that I would like to produce. A TV listings magazine informs people of what TV programmes are on at what time and on which day. As you can see on this page, it shows the 5 main channels- BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5. Each channel has its own column in a different colour to separate it from the other channels. The times are down the right hand side of the column and the programme name and synopsis is on...

I think they’re really fun and they teach you prof...

Production & Editing Diary/ Updates

Image
Production & Editing Updates 11th November- Today I started looking through the footage that I already had from the dance shows that I have done, to see how much I could put into my documentary. I did have a lot of footage however I did want to be behind the camera (rather than in the dances that I will include in the documentary) for the majority of my documentary, meaning that I would have to try and film the dances at competitions and shows that I am not in.  16th & 20th November- I began editing the  footage from the shows that I already had. I picked a background song just to try out at this point and I will not be using this for my final cut. I started my editing on iMovie on my MacBook Pro, as I am familiar with this software from previous projects including my AS Media coursework. 20th, 22nd & 23rd November- This week when i went to the studios, I filmed the dances that we were learning. I don't know whether I will use all ...

Documentary Of A Dancer- First Cut

https://youtu.be/C5XoxE5j7do Here is the link to the first cut of my documentary. There is still a few things that need to be added and changed. Firstly, I need to add the title into it so that my audience know what it's called. I also think that I need to change the order of the clips because at the moment there is no particular order to it, maybe i'll have an interview section, then a section of dance footage rather than alternating between them, I think that this will help improve it. Also, I think that I might change the music or have a few songs in the background rather than just one, to make it a bit more interesting.
